For my birthday we were staying at Ian and Chris’s house in Fremantle, mums uncle’s house. We started the day by opening small present with mum, dad and Summer and then we went upstairs to meet Ian and Chris. As it was such a nice day we decided to go on Ian and Chris’s boat so we went down to the Marina and embarked on our trip
We went down the coast a bit and dropped the anchor just off the beach to have breakfast and go for a swim. It was beautiful seeing all the different fish but none of us could stop thinking about the sharks that we knew were lurking nearby. For breakfast we had patisseries and orange juice. We were then planning to go round to an island off the coast called Carnack but unfortunately the wind picked up and it got choppy so we decided to go up the river instead.
We reached a nice calm spot to swim, have lunch, sunbathe and play games. On the river I opened the rest of my presents before slowly chugging home. Half way down the river mum, dad and I were sitting on the front of the boat when it swerved sharply from side to side and water splashed over the front and got us wet. Later we found out that Summer had taken over the wheel and was driving the boat!
At the river mouth Ian had to take back over the driving because it was very choppy. It was a bit frightening because we had to get back to the harbour via the sea and it was rolling the boat around badly. It was also quite annoying because dad and I were trying to have a game of pass the pigs and the pigs kept rolling off the table. We got back to the Marina safely, unloaded the boat and went home to have a relaxing evening. Overall it was my best and hottest birthday yet.
