We grabbed the surf boards and drove to the sea
All the locals said pura vida
We paddled out and I felt free.
Long sandy beaches, mountains and trees
Was all I could see for miles and miles
It was glorious sitting with the sea breeze
The place was alive with laughter smiles.
After a while I caught my first wave
I rode it and rode it back to the beach
I fell off near a rock, it was a close shave
I think my first barrel is amost in reach
Suddenly I realised,
“There is a shark!”
I turned round and paddled as fast as I could
I didn’t stop running till I reached the car park
Two Fins in the water can never be good!
Fin

Brilliant Fin. We loved your poem. Especially the ending. Great fun big smiles all round.
