This morning I woke up and had some toast with butter for breakfast. I felt wide awake. Mum and dad were asleep but Fin was awake so we both had breakfast together. After that, we got ready and made our beds. 

We then decided to play a game of pool (although I felt wide awake, I didn’t win). Mum and dad then came into the lounge just as Fin and I had finished our game of pool. Fin and I made mum and dad breakfast. While they were eating it we were talking about what we were going to do that day. We decided to go down to the beach. We got in the car and went straight down to the beach.

Once we were down there Fin and dad dropped me and mum off and went for a surf. Mum and I went into a shop as mum needed her legs waxed but they didn’t do any in Dominical. So we left that shop and walked down a road, which we hadn’t been down before, it had a river down the side. At the end of the road there was a dead end so we had to turn around. Suddenly out the corner of my eye I saw a massive leaf (it was bigger than my head)! We carried on walking until we reached a cafe in front of the beach.

We went inside the cafe and i had a “ice chocolate” (as they call it) and a chocolate chip cookie and mum had a coffee. We walked down towards the beach and put our hammock up to relax in. The first time we put it up I sat in it but it just fell down! But the second time it actually held. After about an hour and a half, we walked along the high street in Dominical to get something to eat. Once we got half way through the high street we saw dad and Fin driving along in our car. We had some lunch with them at a place that had just opened that day and then we went home.

Mum and I had a very relaxing day and dad and Fin said they were exhausted from all their surfing.
