Yesterday we all went down to Dominical to try and rent Mum a board because she wanted to have a go at surfing. We ended up getting a huge 9ft board that was perfect for her to learn. We then drove down the coast to our favourite beach called playa Hermosa ,which I found out means beautiful beach, and it really is. On the way there we listen to some of our Spanish tape and we are slowly getting better. We are all now confident to ask someone if they have the confirmation of the reservation for tonight!
When we arrived we all went in the sea, I went surfing, Summer went body boarding and Dad help Mum to surf. To begin with the surf wasn’t very good because it was low tide but as it came in it got better and better.
I surfed all day because it was the best surf and weather we had got for two weeks. I even surfed on Mums long board and it was great fun.
Just before sunset we lit a fire and cooked some chicken and pork to have for dinner. It was delicious. After that we were about to go to Roche Verde, our local bar with live music, when we realised someone had lost the car keys. It was pitch black and we were all very worried. Mum realised she was the last person to have them. We searched for ages and just as we were going to give up she saw them just sticking out of the sand. We were so relieved and drove straight to Roche Verde to play a game of cards and have a drink.
